LADMA Traffic Control operates across Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware, and Pennsylvania — delivering work zone safety for contractors, utilities, and government agencies. We're looking for professionals who take field operations seriously.

ATSSA-aligned operations OSHA-compliant worksites Multi-state field operations

Why LADMA Traffic Control

Traffic control is infrastructure-critical work. The projects we support — highway construction, utility mainline replacement, corridor upgrades — require personnel who understand work zone dynamics, DOT compliance, and field coordination. LADMA operates at a scale and pace that creates sustained employment for qualified professionals.

01

Sustained Project Volume

Our pipeline spans general contractors, utility firms, and government agencies across five states. Steady project flow means consistent hours — not gig-style intermittent work.

02

Multi-State Operations

We operate in Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Crew members gain exposure to diverse project types, jurisdictions, and operational environments that build long-term skills.

03

ATSSA-Standard Training

All field personnel receive ATSSA-aligned work zone safety training. We maintain consistent certification standards across our operations — protecting both our crews and the traveling public.

04

MUTCD-Compliant Worksites

Our traffic control setups follow MUTCD Part 6 standards and applicable state DOT supplements. Working here means operating in properly configured, code-compliant work zones.

05

Advancement Pathways

Flaggers with strong field performance are considered for technician and supervisor roles. Supervisors with TCP knowledge are supported in taking on crew lead responsibilities. We promote from within.

06

Field-First Culture

LADMA is run by operations professionals. Field crew feedback directly informs how we deploy and support crews. You won't be managed by people who've never stood a work zone.

Positions We Recruit For

We recruit across all field crew tiers — from entry-level flaggers to experienced supervisors and equipment operators. Operational demand varies by season and project load; we evaluate all qualified applicants on a rolling basis.

Traffic Control Flagger

Front-line work zone control on active roadways. Requires ATSSA flagger certification or willingness to complete training. Physical outdoor role requiring alertness and clear communication.

Traffic Control Technician

Setup and breakdown of lane closure configurations, signage placement, and channelization devices per approved traffic control plans. Requires familiarity with MUTCD Part 6 standards.

Work Zone Setup Crew Member

Installation and removal of temporary traffic control devices including signs, cones, barrels, arrow boards, and crash attenuators. Entry-level role with on-site training provided.

Traffic Control Supervisor

Field supervision of crew deployment, TCP implementation, daily site safety documentation, and client coordination. Requires multi-year field experience and working knowledge of DOT permit requirements.

Equipment Operator

Operation of trucks, arrow boards, attenuator vehicles, and related traffic control equipment. Valid CDL preferred. Experience on active highway or utility construction sites required.

Safety & Compliance Assistant

Support daily safety briefings, documentation, incident reporting, and compliance recordkeeping. Suitable for candidates with OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification and interest in field safety oversight.

General Construction Laborer

Support roles on traffic control setup crews. Physical work including equipment handling, site preparation, and following crew lead direction on active work zones. No prior experience required for entry-level positions.

Crew Lead / Field Coordinator

Intermediate role bridging technician and supervisor. Responsible for coordinating daily crew logistics, equipment checks, and direct communication with general contractor site representatives.

Positions vary by region and project pipeline. Submitting an application does not guarantee immediate availability — qualified applicants are contacted as openings arise.

Safety & Training

A Worksite You Can Count On

Every LADMA work zone is configured to MUTCD Part 6 standards and applicable state DOT requirements. Traffic control plans are reviewed before deployment, and field personnel are briefed on site-specific conditions before any shift begins.

ATSSA training standards are the floor, not the ceiling. Crew leads conduct daily equipment inspections, verify sign placement and condition, and maintain real-time documentation throughout operations. These are the standards that protect workers in active roadway environments.

OSHA compliance and mandatory PPE enforcement apply on every deployment, every day. You will not be asked to operate in a non-compliant work zone or without appropriate protective equipment.

  • ATSSA-Aligned Operations
  • MUTCD Part 6 Compliant Configurations
  • OSHA 10 / 30-Hour Trained Personnel
  • Daily Pre-Shift Safety Briefings
  • Site-Specific Equipment Inspection Protocol
  • Real-Time Incident Documentation
  • PPE Required on All Deployments
  • State DOT Coordination Experience

What We Look For

We hire across experience levels — from applicants with no prior traffic control background to veterans with years of lane closure and supervisor experience. What matters most is reliability, situational awareness in active roadway environments, and the ability to follow direction precisely when it counts.

ATSSA certification is required for flagger and technician roles. We will consider candidates who are willing to complete certification training; ATSSA courses are typically completed in one to two days. Supervisor and crew lead roles require demonstrated field experience.

We operate in high-stakes environments where the performance of each individual directly affects the safety of everyone on and near the worksite. That standard is non-negotiable.

Core Candidate Criteria

  • Ability to work in outdoor roadway environments in all weather
  • Physical capacity to stand for extended periods and handle equipment
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred for equipment roles)
  • ATSSA flagger certification (or commitment to complete within 30 days)
  • Reliable transportation to job sites across assigned deployment region
  • Ability to follow traffic control plans and supervisor direction precisely
  • Availability for night and weekend shifts on active construction projects
  • Clear communication skills for driver interaction and team coordination
